    The Flat Earth Imbecile

You can't make this stuff up

...his journey into the atmosflat will mark the first phase of his ambitious flat-Earth space program.

Hughes’s ultimate goal is a subsequent launch that puts him miles above Earth, where the 61-year-old limousine driver hopes to photograph proof of the disc we all live on.
I'm reminded of Jethro Boudine's planned rocket flight to the moon where he planned to find "Moon Maidens."

Good luck on that atmosflat there, Pal! Whoosh

Do they think it's like a huge quarter in space or something? Where we all live on one side?

Yes. The Antarctic is not a continent a the south pole, but an imposing barrier around the outer edge. Circumnavigating that is actually a 69,000 mile journey inside the circle of the edge.

Time zones come from the sun being more of a spotlight that shines down on only a portion of the Earth at any given time. it hovers overhead, circling like a vulture.

All because the Bible very clearly describes a flat Earth, and God would not lie...

From the Flat Earth Society's wiki. Notice how Antarctica is actually a ring around the earth, tall enough to keep the oceans from sloshing over the sides.

It also describes the Earth as having four corners, so not a disc but a square, like a big saltine.

obviously, 'corner' is metaphor. But the solid sky, that's gospel. And the Earth, spread across the top of the water like a mud pie, perfectly clear.

"Hughes promised the flat-Earth community that he would expose the conspiracy with his steam-powered rocket"

    Steam-powered.

I call what is going to happen here. Sir Dumbfuck here is going to get himself exploded in short order, and it will all become part of the conspiracy, where "the man" (whoever that is) blew him up, lest he reveals "the truth".

What happened to the theory that there was a shell of water surrounding the earth and it came down in the form of rain and caused the great flood? Are the flat earthers discarding that dangerously modern idea?

Yes, Icarus and all that. This guy is apparently not very literate, a terrible misfortune.
