From my old religious professor (who wasn’t particularly religious):

Lord, we pray now for all idiots, both those whose attainments are complete and those yet in our way whose journey is incomplete. Regard, O Lord, these servants of Thy left hand who know not the right thing to do nor how; those who drive as they should not, who install doors that won’t open; those who botch up small things in order to make big messes; and especially those, O Lord, who shy from even a glitter of the light of reason so that they might obscure goodness and kindness and charity in the community of Thy people. And, dear Lord, if they be not capable of sense, at least gift them with obscurity that Thy good purposes be not obstructed. Amen.
