Elizabeth Warren claims Michael Brown was "murdered"

From her official campaign Twitter account.

Never mind that this "gentle giant" robbed a convenience store right before his encounter with Wilson. Never mind that he reached inside Wilson's SUV trying to get his gun. Never mind that, after briefly running away (after being shot in the thumb), he turned around and advanced toward Wilson. Never mind that the whole "hands up don't shoot" narrative was exposed as false. Never mind that both the local grand jury and the Eric Holder DOJ exonerated him. In other words, never mind all the facts.

Doesn't Fauxachontas claim to have a law degree? She should know what constitutes murder then.

P.S.: Is Toni going to ask Elizabeth Warren if she knew MB well? After all, she is using Michael's given name freely, and we all know how Toni feels about that.
P.P.S.: Most of the comments are very negative. Good to see her virtue signalling did not quite work as intended.

From a legal standpoint, Derec's "facts" are hardly established either. News coverage and fact are indeed far distant from one another.

But neither is the charge of murder, and using that term is irresponsible; it is inflammatory by nature, and should be used lightly in connection with situations where there is a lot of ambiguity and unresolved legal question.

My opinion: Neither Derec's openly racist attitudes (including the racial pejorative he has applied to Warren herself), nor Elizabeth Warren's willingly hyperbolic statements would be appropriate from the mouth of a sitting president. But only one of these individuals is running for president at the moment. Warren is not setting a good precedent for level-headed political exchange in this case.

As established as they can be. There never was a trial because there never was probable cause that a crime has been committed against Michael Brown, only by him. Starting with the robbery.

Especially early coverage that described him as a "gentle giant". The two converged more later on.

    We agree there.

I have zero racist attitudes, open or otherwise.

(including the racial pejorative he has applied to Warren herself),
Which is based not on Warren's race (she is whiter than me for fuck's sake!) but her claimed "native" American status.

You think the pejorative "Fauxachontas" is not consistent with racism or bigotry?

It makes fun of her appropriating a racial identity she does not have. Kind of like calling Shaun King "Talcum X".
Not everything is "bigoted" just because you want it to be.

By the way, Kamala Harris is on the "Michael Brown was totally murdered, y'all" bandwagon.

Some other candidates wrote tweets expressing support for Michael Brown, but have not gone so far as to use the

That is a cracker jack response - making fun of someone's racial identity is not evidence of bigotry.

I am not making fun about somebody's "racial identity", but about them lying about their racial identity.
But what do you think about Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris lying about Michael Brown being "murdered"?

I don't see that as evidence of racism.

"Fauxachontas" is criticizing her for claiming to be Native American when she isn't, it says nothing about how one feels about Native Americans.

I think the Democrats are being utterly stupid, pandering to the far left when the road to beating His Flatulence is in the middle.
