Yeah. Of course, I would expect a higher standard to apply to some unelected judge with a lifetime appointment than to an elected politician, but standards may differ.

A new report reveals that Deborah Ramirez, a woman who claims Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while she was a student at Yale University, may have had evidence to corroborate her story — but that Republicans created a process which would stifle her account so that Kavanaugh could be confirmed.

    Andddddd.....

    https://www.rawstory.com/2019/09/kam...-be-impeached/

In a blunt tweet issued on Sunday morning, Democratic Presidential contender, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of lying to the U.S. Senate during his confirmation hearings and said he must be impeached.

"I sat through those hearings. Brett Kavanaugh lied to the U.S. Senate and most importantly to the American people. He was put on the Court through a sham process and his place on the Court is an insult to the pursuit of truth and justice.

    He must be impeached."

We will need a lot more popcorn. It will be very interesting to see where all of this goes.
What does this tell us that we didn't already know?

Following the Times’ story, Democratic presidential contender Julián Castro called for Kavanaugh’s impeachment, tweeting Saturday: “It’s more clear than ever that Brett Kavanaugh lied under oath.” He called Kavanaugh’s ascendence a “shame to the Supreme Court.”
    ...

However, on Sunday, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), another 2020 presidential hopeful, noted that she was one of the senators at those hearings in which “Kavanaugh lied to the U.S. Senate and most importantly to the American people.” And she also called for his impeachment.
    ....

Democratic presidential contender Elizabeth Warren also addressed the latest allegations on Sunday. “Confirmation is not exoneration, and these newest revelations are disturbing,” she tweeted, adding that Kavanaugh ― and Trump ― should be impeached.
    ...

Former U.S. attorney Joyce Vance called Saturday for a “full congressional investigation” into Kavanaugh’s behavior and a probe into his past to “determine whether someone, and if so who, gave orders that kept the FBI from investigating credible allegations.”

    ----

It looks like this is all hitting the fan big time.
I see this backfiring. Some one needs to point to me where the damning information is. Most of this was generally known before his confirmation vote. We knew this woman existed. We knew that Kavanaugh told insiders that this would need to be dealt with before the vote. We knew the FBI was given the tiniest of mandates for an investigation before the vote.

This IS damning information, ornat least should have been in the context of his confirmation. The fact that the republicans voted him in anyway and did their best simply to not look at it is pretty damning for those who made that vote.

So what if this was known before the vote? The fact that some ratfuckers fucked rats doesn't magically make the evidence and allegations less important. It just means a rat got fucked.

Didn’t the Times issue corrections to this “story”? Might be significant.

YES! Fox News is telling people that the corrections are significant. Thank you for bringing it here, Trausti.

Oh, right. That the alleged victim said it never happened. Pfft. Not significant at all.

I think it matters because when you are talking impeachment, that would have to include new information has come out that would have affected the vote. I doubt any Republican would change their support based on what came out. These are the same fucks that screwed Obama over Garland by not even holding a vote (or a single hearing).

I think the only thing we now know is that the Ramirez accusation has legs.

What exactly did the alleged victim allegedly say and who is alleging that and why?

OK. So, anyway.. back to the topic at hand... When someone does rape someone, and it is not a lie, and becomes a supreme court justice after lying about the rape to congress... such a person should be impeached out of their appointment, right?
