We are not in the equation between flowers and bees (or other insects). For bees, flowers have their food. Rest all is incidental. Smell\color are to get the attention of the bees and indicate where food exists. For flowers smells\colors are important because they will attract bees and aid in survival of their species. Simle evolutionary arrangement.
