But you’re wrong. They’re all lining up behind der fuhrer. McConnell, Graham and others are all repeating the mantra. They don’t dare cross Fuck Face Von Clownstick. The base would hammer them. No one dares to disagree with him. Look what happened to Jeff Sessions.
I don't see it. Graham, yeah. But McConnell came out this morning in favor of counting all the votes, knowing full well that doing so will cause Agent Orange to be deposed.

All the LEGAL votes. So he's covered both ways. If Trump's lawyers can get enough thrown out, Mitch is still supporting Trump. If not, he can claim to have welcomed Biden as the People's choice.

Is anyone surprised? Trump doing some idiotic and appalling shit is day like every day.
God, or rather the fiction of God, is the consecration and the intellectual and moral source of all slavery on earth, and the freedom of mankind will never be complete until the disastrous and insidious fiction of a heavenly master is annihilated.

You've identified the dynamic perfectly. Even republicans that have issues with Orange won't cross or diss him because of his love affair with that crazy base. Early in Trumpo's administration there were people who spoke up rationally when Orange would say something perfectly insane like wanting to buy Greenland or wishing to trade Puerto Rico for Greenland. But those people are all gone and replaced by loyal crazies.

People like McConnell and Graham are only after their political skin. They'll accept and tolerate anything but the loss of their political skin.

He can afford to do that, since his own position is fairly assured. That's all any of these kleptocratic republitards care about.

Moscow Mitch comes out ahead either way, given his long friendships with both the incumbent and the president-elect. Would he really prefer Trump to the point of endangering all of their positions?

It wouldn't be suicide, it'd be the death of American Democracy. And not enough, almost no GOP'ers are coming out against the ridiculously banana republic comments Trump stated to the nation.

Or ensuring it for a good long time, that is whole point of coups.

That Trump even went there is despicable.

    Trump’s statement today:

We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to be exposed. The simple fact is this election is far from over. Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor. In Pennsylvania, for example, our legal observers were not permitted meaningful access to watch the counting process. Legal votes decide who is president, not the news media.

“Beginning Monday, our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated. The American People are entitled to an honest election: that means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots. This is the only way to ensure the public has full confidence in our election. It remains shocking that the Biden campaign refuses to agree with this basic principle and wants ballots counted even if they are fraudulent, manufactured, or cast by ineligible or deceased voters. Only a party engaged in wrongdoing would unlawfully keep observers out of the count room – and then fight in court to block their access.

“So what is Biden hiding? I will not rest until the American People have the honest vote count they deserve and that Democracy demands.”
He’s betting on the Supreme Court that he’s stacked. I don’t trust them either after Bush v. Gore. Kavanaugh especially. I don’t see how exactly they can reverse the results, but damn they will try.

So, now what? republican party stay trump party forever? I mean the guy lost, why can't they gather around and quietly "hang" him?
Nobody in their ranks plans to run for POTUS in 2024? That's pathetic, that's utterly pathetic.
Afraid of his rabid base? Even old ones who have nothing to lose?
Where is a fucking Jeb Bush? Does he need money? no, he does not. He now can come out and tell what he thinks about Trump.

They won't get a chance to try, unless there's some hard evidence of widespread fraud or cheating by the Democratic campaign. And if the GOP had that evidence, they would be shouting it from the rooftops.

In the absence of any evidence, a legal challenge will be dismissed in the lower courts, and will never get to the Supremes.

The courts - at every level - aren't interested in unsubstantiated claims of unspecified unlawful activity. Sure, you can pay a lawyer to take a baseless brief and start proceedings in the lower courts; But without evidence, that brief will be laughed out of court in short order.

Trump's MO is to sue everyone and everything, whenever he doesn't get his way. But in this situation, all that will achieve is to make DJT poorer, and his lawyers richer. It's not going to achieve anything else.
