Do it with enough lonely people and there's a chance one of them will be willing to go for a mail-order-bride. You're her lottery ticket; the grand prize is getting the hell out of China.
China isn't that bad any longer. I don't think mail order brides from China is a thing any longer. My brother is married to a Chinese woman. They've lived both in China and Sweden. Staying in China has a lot going for it. Apart from the Orwelian surveillance, if you just want to get on with life China is a great place now.
Yeah, while they aren't up to western levels I wouldn't expect much in the way of mail order brides from there anymore.

20 years ago we frequently had encounters along these lines:

My wife talking to a young female shop employee:

    Woman: "Does he understand us?"
    Her: "No".
Woman: "How do you like being married to an American?"
    Her: "I'm happy".
Woman: "How do I get one?"

We generally ended up with at least one photo and contact information per trip. (Not that she ever actually introduced anyone--none of those women spoke any English, no point to it.)

It hasn't happened in several years now. At least in the cities the women aren't interested in being a mail order bride anymore.
I think you are mixing to different things.

    1) Chinese women who date western men for financial stability.
    2) Chinese women who date Western men for their liberal and progressive values.

The first type are low status/rural women who want a man to take care of them. The second type are well educated indipendent women. The first type will settle for a low status Western man as long as he has money. The second type wants a high status Western man, not necessarily wealthy. She doesn't need his money.

In the west, these women form completely different communities. They have very little in common

Well, the thread as a whole is mixing up two quite different things. It started out as being about wanting to get laid, now it's about relationships.

Obviously, the two things are not necessarily mutually exclusive.

I am tempted to start a general thread on the subject of tinder.

ETA: in fact, I have: https://talkfreethought.org/showthre...sis-on-tinder)

The women I'm talking about I do not believe were looking for a man to take care of them, but to upgrade their standard of living by moving to the west.

China is projected to blow past USA in GDP Within the next decade. It would, right now, be dumb to move from China to the West to get a better standard of living. For someone educated it would be counter productive

This is merely an observation and not a judgment (if anything I'm jealous), but you are horny AF.

I feel like a large % of your threads make some reference to sexual escapades, illegally crossing COVID boundaries on booty calls, etc.. And for some reason that may be way off, I have a mental image of you as close to age 50 or above, which makes it even more notable.

I think Loren might agree. I think he was using the past tense, to refer to 20 years ago.

I can't answer for Dr Z, and I'm not in his situation, but I do know what you're saying.

Amusing anecdote: I'm going through the 'hell' of marital separation, and have been all year, and yet......... I think more than one of my long-married male pals is....instinctively jealous, but even more amusingly, I think my therapist (a man of my age - I'm 60 - and long-time married) is too! And I honestly think I have reason to say that.

In all honesty, I would not recommend it, or inflict it on my enemies. On balance. I think the grass always just looks greener on the other side of whatever side of whatever fence you happen to be on.

I have never been anybody other than me. So I don't know if I am hornier than normal. I did early in my life make a sacred vow to myself to end relationships that weren't working, to not act on being afraid of being alone. I have been extremely honest with myself what I need to be happy. I think it's more a question of that I have organised my life in such a way that I can get a lot of sex.

My first career was organising parties and events. Basically facilitating people getting laid. That helped kick-start my love life. And I just kept going. I'm 46 in a couple of days. So you are accurate about my age

A few years ago, there was a swarm of bot on facebook. About once a week I would receive a friend request from a very attractive young woman. If I was in a playful mood, I would send a message, "Why do you want to be my friend?"

A few of them answered and the conversation went like this:

I think you are a good person.
I am not a good person.
Why are you not a good person?
I fucked your mother and never called her again.
    That's not so bad.

First, note that I was talking about the past--she used to frequently get asked to be a matchmaker, but not anymore.

Second, China has far more people. If China's GDP equals ours the standard of living is much lower.
