    Duh. Clark Kent wears glasses. Superman doesn't wear glasses. If Superman is Clark Kent, how come he doesn't keep bumping into things, and squinting? If he's not wearing his glasses, he's going to be doing that all the time.

    I read that the original idea for Superman came from an immigrant. Superman as an immigrant, immigrants being as capable and making contributions like every one else.

    Myths usualy represent something. Especially before literacy and written communication of any consequence painting pictures with myths makes sense. Aesop's Fables. The Tortoise And The Hare.

    John Wayne and Rambo became verbs. To John Wayne or Rambo a situation. In my generation making a comparison to John Wayne would be clearly understood. Reckless blunt force persona from his cowboy roles.
