Once Upon A Time There These People Called Republicans

I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain.

The power of the white world is threatened whenever a black man refuses to accept the white world's definitions.

Everybody who agreed to that platform needs to be set on fire.

What did Eisenhower know about Benghazi and when did he know it?

Things were falling apart long before then. My father was active in politics as a Republican in the 60s--and had abandoned them by the 70s because they had changed so much. (Admittedly, a move to a more conservative state sped this process up.)

    I don't disagree with you.

The Republican party of Eisenhower was reeling after Nixon and ended with Reagan's election.

The Republican party today is not a party that cares the least about those crushed by modern capitalism.

It is almost entirely a party that represents corporate interests.
